    Our Story

    Founded with Heart & Purpose

Hop & Learn Children's Therapy was founded by Rutu Patel, an occupational therapist with a deep passion for helping children with developmental differences reach their full potential.

Before starting Hop & Learn, Rutu worked as a support worker with families of children experiencing developmental delays. This experience shaped her understanding of the challenges families face and inspired her vision for a therapy clinic that truly puts families first.

Today, Hop & Learn has grown into a team of 12 dedicated therapists and assistants, all sharing the same commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, play-based care. We're proud to serve families across Truganina, Point Cook, Tarneit, and beyond.

    Our Values

    What We Believe In

Our approach is guided by core values that put children and families at the centre of everything we do.

    Neurodiversity-Affirming

We celebrate every child's unique neurology. Our approach honours differences rather than trying to 'fix' them.

    Family-Centered Care

Families are partners in therapy. We work collaboratively with parents, carers, and schools to support your child.

    Play-Based Approach

Children learn best through play. Our sessions are fun, engaging, and tailored to each child's interests.

    Local & Accessible

Based in Melbourne's west, we understand our community. Clinic, home visits, and telehealth options available.

    Evidence-Based Practice

We stay current with research and best practices. Our therapists engage in ongoing professional development.

    Supportive Environment

Our clinic feels like a playroom, not a medical appointment. Children look forward to coming each week.
