    Speech Pathology

    • Understanding language — following directions, stories
    • Using language — vocabulary, sentences, sharing ideas
    • Speech sounds — pronouncing words clearly
    • Social communication — conversation, non-verbal cues
    Learn More About Speech

If you're not sure whether your child needs OT, Speech, or both, we'll help you work it out in your first appointment.

    Kids we commonly work with

We see children from early years through primary school (and some teens), including those who:

    • Are autistic or otherwise neurodivergent and need support with daily routines, friendships, or managing sensory input.
    • Have developmental delays that affect speech, coordination, or independence.
    • Are struggling with school skills — handwriting, reading and spelling foundations, following the classroom routine.
    • Find it hard to cope with change, new places, noisy environments or group activities.
    • Have diagnoses such as ADHD, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy or learning difficulties — or are still "under investigation".

You don't need a diagnosis to start with Hop & Learn. If something doesn't feel quite right, we're happy to chat.

What families can expect with Hop & Learn

    Practical Goals

We focus on meaningful changes like "can dress themselves for kinder" or "can join in playtime without melting down".

    Skills That Stick

Therapy ideas are woven into real life at home, school and in the community so gains last beyond the session.

    Clear Plan

You know what we're working on, how we'll get there, and what to try between sessions.

    Less Stress for Parents

One place to ask questions, coordinate funding and get support from a team that "gets it".

Therapy that can follow you anywhere in Australia

Not close to Truganina or juggling a busy schedule? Our clinicians also provide telehealth OT and Speech sessions across Australia.

Telehealth can be a great fit for:

    • Regional and remote families who want regular paediatric therapy without long travel.
    • Kids who feel more comfortable in their own home environment.
    • Parents who want more coaching on how to support therapy goals in everyday routines.

We'll discuss whether in-clinic, community visits or telehealth (or a mix) suits your child best.
