Home visit OT & Speech in Melbourne's west

When it makes sense, we come to you — supporting your child with OT and Speech in the place they live, learn and play.

Therapy that fits into real life

Many paediatric OT and Speech services now offer mobile and community-based support to help children practise skills in their natural environments — home, kinder, school and community.

    Real Environments

We recommend home visits when they add clinical value — routines, behaviour and home set-up.

    Goal-Based

Sessions are planned around clear goals and routines you care about, not generic activities.

    Collaborative

We involve parents, carers and siblings, and can link with school or kinder with consent.

    Linked to Clinic & Telehealth

We're one team — your therapist can see your child across settings as needed.

When home visits are especially helpful

    Daily Routines

Getting dressed, toileting, mealtimes, bath time and bedtime become practice opportunities, not battles.

    Behaviour & Regulation

We can see sensory needs, meltdowns and transitions as they actually happen and find practical strategies.

    Home & Equipment Set-up

Seating, desks, play spaces and visual supports tailored to your actual furniture and layout.

    Family & Carer Training

Grandparents, carers or support workers can join sessions and learn the same strategies.

How home visits run with Hop & Learn

    1

    Enquiry & Area Check

You complete the Get Started form or contact us. We confirm whether your address is within our current home-visit zone and discuss any travel-related fees.

    2

    Goal Setting & Session Planning

We clarify what you'd like help with — routines, behaviour, self-care, play, school skills etc. Together, we decide how often home visits make sense and if they should be combined with clinic or telehealth.

    3

    The Home Visit

Your therapist arrives with a clear plan and key resources. We work in the rooms that matter (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, lounge, backyard), using real tasks and play.

    4

    Follow-up & Next Steps

You receive a small set of strategies to try before the next session. We adjust the plan as your child and family grow more confident.

Note: Home visits depend on clinical fit and capacity — we'll always be honest with you about whether they're the best option for your child's goals.
