    Terms of Service

The terms and conditions governing our therapy services.

    Last updated: January 2025

    1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, booking an appointment, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all clients, visitors, and users of Hop & Learn Children's Therapy services.

    2. Description of Services

Hop & Learn Children's Therapy provides paediatric allied health services including:

    • Occupational Therapy: Assessment and intervention for fine motor skills, sensory processing, daily living skills, and developmental support
    • Speech Pathology: Assessment and therapy for speech, language, communication, and feeding difficulties
    • Telehealth Services: Online therapy sessions via secure video conferencing
    • Home Visits: Therapy services delivered in your home, school, or community setting

All services are provided by qualified and registered health professionals.

    3. Appointments and Cancellations

Booking: Appointments can be booked by phone, email, or through our online booking system.

Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments ("no-shows") may incur a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the session cost.

NDIS Participants: NDIS funds cannot be used to pay cancellation fees. These must be paid privately.

Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, your session will end at the scheduled time. The full session fee applies.

    4. Fees and Payment

NDIS Participants: We are not a registered NDIS provider. We work with self-managed and plan-managed participants only. Services are billed in line with the NDIS Price Guide where applicable, and we can invoice your plan manager or invoice you directly for self-managed plans.

Medicare: Some services may be eligible for Medicare rebates under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM) or Mental Health Treatment Plan. A referral from a GP is required.

Private Clients: Payment is due at the time of service. We accept major credit cards, EFTPOS, and bank transfer.

Fee Schedule: Current fees are available upon request. We will advise you of any fee changes with reasonable notice.

    5. Your Responsibilities

As a client of Hop & Learn, you agree to:

    • Provide accurate and complete information about your child's health and developmental history
    • Notify us of any changes to your child's health, medications, or circumstances
    • Attend appointments on time or provide adequate notice
    • Participate actively in your child's therapy program as agreed
    • Treat our staff and other clients with respect and courtesy
    • Pay for services as agreed or maintain valid funding arrangements

    6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and resources, is owned by or licensed to Hop & Learn Children's Therapy. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission. Therapy resources provided to you are for personal use only and may not be shared or redistributed.

    7. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide high-quality therapy services, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Therapy results vary based on individual factors. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hop & Learn Children's Therapy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

    8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hop & Learn Children's Therapy, its employees, and contractors from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms, misuse of our services, or provision of inaccurate information.

    9. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the therapeutic relationship at any time with reasonable notice. We reserve the right to discontinue services if there are repeated cancellations, non-payment, or behaviour that endangers our staff or other clients. Upon termination, we will provide appropriate referrals and transfer of care information where clinically appropriate.

    10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

    11. Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first. We are committed to resolving issues promptly and fairly. If we cannot resolve the matter to your satisfaction, you may escalate to the relevant professional registration body (AHPRA), the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, or seek independent dispute resolution.
